Introduced new underwriting model enabling the team to better identify and mitigate risk; provided extensive training on the model which was embraced by credit committee.

Portfolio Analysis
Developed a risk grade model to measure loan and portfolio risk and ensure the CDFI’s compliance with FASB’s Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) requirements.

Borrower Analysis
Designed a Key Performance Indicator matrix to efficiently surface guarantor financial performance issues and a desktop guide to complete the KPI table.

Process Mapping
Led process mapping exercises to identify and remove roadblocks, clarify best practices, and standardize processes.

Training
Delivered extensive training ranging from hard skills such as analyzing the guarantor’s audit to soft skills such as building better client relations; conducted brown bag discussion on why affordable housing developers fail.
